From the time I first heard Django Reinhardt playing his guitar, he became my idol. His music showed me the melodic side of Jazz and touched my soul like the virus you can’t cure. Maybe it is funny, but from that time I divide people on those who like Django’s music and those who don’t.

Django passed away on the 16th of May 1953, he never got old, never changed, and we will remember him like that forever. He remains the most important figure in European Jazz, and one of the two or three, if not the most important guitarist in the history of music. Eddie Lang and Charlie Christian were good, but Django was god, untouchable.
